I have had the Plant House 5 for about 2 months and so far I like it. I didn’t have any problems erecting it (it was like putting up and tent). I even moved it from the spot that I originally set it up and that was a breeze. Now, I have not started any seedlings in it yet. Time will tell if the house is too hot. The mature plants that I have in it now seem to need daily air circulation on warm days. So, I have to remind myself to go out there and unzip the two side doors. I don’t know how well the house will hold up through the cold months and how it will fold back into its zippered bag afterward. I’ll have to see.

This plant house is excellent for small areas and protects my plants in cold weather. It is very tropical inside!

I have a real greenhouse, but I thought this might be something I could use in the coldest of winter, to plop over some of the plants that just can’t tolerate the cold, like cucumbers.

I’m a klutz and I never have been able to install the poles correctly.

The good thing is, it works fine without them.

I don’t see how this would survive outside on a windy day. I’ll have to take the experience of others in that regard because it wasn’t my intention to put mine out there anyway. Hail would tear it up very easily, because it isn’t thick. If it were thick, the sun wouldn’t be able to come in, so that isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

As far as portable greenhouses go, I think this is fine. In Oklahoma we have B-I-G windstorms and nothing portable is going to stay put, so I don’t hold that against this product.

This is a wonderful shelter for potted plants here in the South. When temps are to go below 25 degrees I put a plant light in the shelter for added warmth and the plants have survived a temp of 15 degrees. The Planthouse is easy to put together and I have put 10 8 inch pots and a 6 inch pot in it. I previously had the 4′ size which I used for 3 years and it would have been good for a fourth year but was damaged by a hail storm. Pretty good for such an inexpensive shelter

I did not find this greenhouse to be difficult to assemble at all. It is reasonably sturdy and is doing a great job so far of keeping my roses protected from our sometimes fierce Ohio winds (I lost 9 of 10 bushes when I moved here last year because I did not protect them well enough from the wind). I do recommend adding a little portable fan or some other way to create air movement within the greenhouse for plants that are sensitive to any kind of fungus or mildew. Also, make sure to secure the greenhouse as it is very light and can blow away easily unless secured.

This is a great product for the price!
