This book really got us going in our plans to start greenhousing. We live in NE Washington, and really need to get a head start on our garden plants; and this book seems to include everything we need to know to eliminate as much “trial and error” learing as possible.

This book has information in it that I didn’t find anywhere else. When I looked at the price of the free-standng and attached greenhouse kits, well – I practically had to be picked up off the floor. They are all expensive and my wallet just isn’t that fat. If you’re thinking about designing and building your own greenhouse, get this. With the help of this book (and some others – foundation, framing – that I bought through Amazon), I was able to save myself thousands of dollars and build an attached greenhouse that gets tons of compliments. And, if you’re into orchids, Ortho’s Complete Guide to Orchids is the best for determining temperatures & light requirements & more things to consider when designing an orchid greenhouse.

I really enjoyed this book. It is well written and has very useful pictures. I am researching green houses and landscaping, hopefully to start my own business, and this is a good book to add to my library.

This book was very informative. How to deal with frost and protect plants to their fullest! How to create the style and form we are looking for and do ourselves. Highly Recommended!

All About Greenhouses- Just a more simple compilation of facts about grenhouses. They are far from simple, and this book is a good start in what will be much to learn.. If you are planning to build, buy or begin a greenhouse, this is a good place to start the process.
